Abegweit First Nation

Abegweit First Nation (Abegweit or the Band) is a Mi’kmaw Band representing three reserves
(Morell, Rocky Point and Scotchfort) in Prince Edward Island, Canada. Like other First Nation
Governments, the Band is responsible for managing and implementing a plethora of community
programs and services. 

Recently, Abegweit completed a long-term strategic plan (Growing with Our People: Our Path
Forward 2020-2025) oriented towards economic growth. Abegweit First Nation’s immediate, short- and long-term IT requirements to support the community’s current
operations and future growth plans. As a IT manager I am required to seek out new technologies and provide a better IT infrastructure for our organization.
